You can’t ignore social commerceThe rise of social commerce hasn’t been as smooth as some had predicted. However, a detailed post over at Simply Zesty clearly shows that social commerce will be the next big thing; it’s just taking a while to get going. As more smart phones are bought, the tablet PC continues its inexorable rise, and social takes its place as a key filter within the m-commerce environment, your business needs to be ready. New start-ups like Shopcade and Extole are showing the way, but all business will eventually embrace social commerce.

Fortune 500 goes social

Fortune 500 Go SocialA new study from the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth has revealed that corporations in the US are rapidly adopting social networking. The study found that 66% of Fortune 500 companies have a corporate Facebook page up 13.8% from last year and 73% of these companies use Twitter, up 17.7% from 2011. The study states: “Due to the hugely influential role that these companies play in the business world, studying their adoption and use of social media tools offers important insights into the future of commerce. These corporations provide a look at emergent social media trends among America’s most successful companies.”
